River Place Primary Bath

This client in the River Place neighborhood of Austin, TX was looking to modernize their primary bath while maintaining cohesion with the rest of their more traditional home. The focal point in this bathroom is the large built-in vanity that the homeowner wanted to keep. Custom cabinets were made to match, taking the existing linen cabinet to the ceiling and adding an additional linen between the two sinks to create more of a distinction between the two sides. Then the entire piece was painted, the hardware updated, and under cabinet lighting installed. To complete the transformation, the mirrored wall was replaced by individual mirrors with side sconces and wall-mount faucets were installed on a scalloped backsplash. To tie in the new vanity with the rest of the bathroom, a matching panel was built for the tub front and topped with the same countertop stone. The rest of the tile surround was removed and replaced by sheetrock and a large windowsill for a cleaner look. Finally, the floor and shower were tiled and the room painted.

This client worked with Anna Robinson Interior Design on this space as well as their guest bathroom and laundry room.
